1. Why Jiuzhaigou?

--------------------------------------------------

Jiuzhaigou National Park (九寨沟) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Sichuan famous for multi-colored lakes, 108 terraced waterfalls, and snow-capped Minshan peaks. The reserve sits between 2 000 m and 4 300 m above sea level, which keeps the air cool and the water a surreal turquoise.

Spring (Apr–May) | Wild azaleas, moderate water | Mild weather, few crowds | Water level still rising

Summer (Jun–Aug) | Emerald lakes, lush forest | Cool 12-21 °C escape | Peak domestic tourism

Autumn (mid-Sep–Oct) | Fiery maple & birch reflections | Iconic photos | Book 2+ months ahead

Winter (Nov–Mar) | Frozen waterfalls, discounted tickets | Quiet & budget-friendly | Some paths icy; bring spikes

Tip: For photographers, late-October is the golden window. Check real-time foliage reports on China Meteorological Admin WeChat mini-program.
